After living in N.Y.C. for over 40 years, my husband and I decided it was time for a change... a "new life", away from the hustle & bustle of the city, the traffic, the stress and of course the frigid winters. After spending time looking throughout Florida and the South, we were not sure where to go, until we found this place. We felt is was special...it is.
Yes, leaving my family and friends was difficult, so was bringing our college-aged sons with us, but once here for a while everything fell into place. My family and friends visit often, and all wish they were able to make the move here too. The boys go to UNF, and love it, they also found part-time jobs, easily. The people here are all very friendly and helpful, which has made the relocation much easier. I have no regrets.
Once here for a year, I began to miss what I love, and do best...sell Real Estate. After being a licensed Real Estate Broker in NY for 10 years, I decided to go to school for my Florida R.E. Brokers license. I'm now a Licensed Broker Associate with Watson Realty Corp., in Fernandina Beach. If you are considering relocating to this area, I'd be glad to assist you in any way I can.
